Do the inspection. Pay when you send it out.
A subscription lets you capture and review as many inspections as you want, across the aircraft your plan covers. When you're ready to export or share a finished inspection, a one-time per-inspection unlock covers that deliverable — and it's yours, permanently.
Two simple parts.
Capturing and reviewing an inspection is the work you do in the app. Exporting and sharing the finished inspection is the deliverable you send out. Pricing follows that split — so you're never paying twice for the same thing.
Do the inspection work
Your subscription covers unlimited capture and in-app review across the aircraft your plan covers. Borescope your engine as often as you like, compare it over time, and review every image, every cylinder — with no per-image fees and no per-inspection charge for that work.
Send the finished inspection out
When you export or share a completed inspection — to your shop, a customer, or an engine analyst — a one-time unlock covers that specific inspection. The unlock is permanent and travels with the inspection, so whoever receives it can open it without paying again.
Plans that cover capture & review.
A subscription gives you unlimited capture and in-app review across the aircraft it covers. Owners pick a plan scoped to their aircraft; shops get one plan that covers every customer tail they touch.
Individual For aircraft owners
Tail-scoped — your subscription covers a specific aircraft (by tail number), so you pay for the airplane you actually fly, not capacity you'll never use. Own more than one? Choose the number of tails your plan covers, or go Unlimited.
| Aircraft covered | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| 1 aircraft | $4.99/mo | $49.99/yr |
| 2 aircraft | $9.99/mo | $99.99/yr |
| 3 aircraft | $14.99/mo | $149.99/yr |
| 4 aircraft | $19.99/mo | $199.99/yr |
| 5 aircraft | $24.99/mo | $249.99/yr |
| Unlimited | $29.99/mo | $299.99/yr |
Annual billing works out to roughly two months free versus paying monthly. Adding an aircraft later moves you up a tier in place — the App Store prorates the difference, with no canceling or re-subscribing.
Shop For maintenance shops
Not tied to any one tail — the Shop plan covers your operation across every aircraft you work on. Whether a customer brings in a Cherokee today and a Bonanza tomorrow, the same subscription covers both.
For volume buying, shops can also purchase by credit card or invoice through Airworthy Labs directly — contact [email protected].
Unlock an inspection to send it out.
Capturing and reviewing is unlimited under a subscription. Exporting or sharing a finished inspection — the deliverable — is a one-time per-inspection unlock, for everyone, including active subscribers. The subscription covers using the tool; the unlock covers the record you hand off.
- Permanent. Pay once and that inspection is open for good — no expiry, no re-purchase.
- Transfers with the inspection. Send an unlocked inspection to a customer or mechanic and it arrives already open — they don't need a subscription or a purchase.
- No subscription required. Have just one inspection to send — a pre-buy, say? Unlock it on its own, without subscribing.
Why a separate charge if I subscribe? Your subscription covers the inspection work — capturing and reviewing, as much as you want. The per-inspection unlock covers the finished deliverable you send out of the app. Subscribers who never export pay nothing beyond their subscription.
Good to know.
Is there a per-image fee?
No. A subscription covers unlimited capture and in-app review — you can borescope and review as often as you like, across the aircraft your plan covers, with no per-image charge and no per-inspection charge for that work. The only one-time charge is the per-inspection unlock, which applies when you export or share a finished inspection.
If I'm a subscriber, why do I still pay to export an inspection?
The subscription and the unlock cover two different things. The subscription covers doing the inspection work — capturing and reviewing, unlimited. The per-inspection unlock covers the deliverable: the finished inspection you send out of the app. It's not a double-charge — you're paying for the tool's use and, separately and only when you choose to, for the record you hand off. Subscribers who never need to export pay nothing beyond their subscription.
Can I unlock one inspection without subscribing?
Yes. If you have a single inspection to send out — a pre-buy on an airplane you're considering, or a one-time check — you can unlock just that inspection for a one-time purchase, no subscription required. Your first inspection unlock is $49; each additional one is $99.
What does "permanent and transferable" mean?
The unlock is a property of the inspection itself, not of your account. Once an inspection is unlocked it stays open for good, and if you send it to someone else it arrives already unlocked — they can open, review, and keep it without a subscription or a purchase of their own.
Can I switch billing cycles or add an aircraft?
Yes. Adding an aircraft moves you up a tier in place, and the App Store prorates the difference — no canceling or re-subscribing. Switching between monthly and annual is handled in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Do subscriptions auto-renew, and how do refunds work?
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the period you've already paid for. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Do you offer shop or fleet pricing?
Yes — the Shop plan covers your whole operation across any aircraft, with a 14-day free trial. For volume buying, shops can purchase by credit card or invoice through Airworthy Labs directly. Reach out at [email protected].
What does it cost during the beta?
Nothing. Billing is turned off entirely during the beta — every feature, including capture, review, upload, export, and sharing, is open to beta testers at no charge. The plans above are how Jug Scope works at public launch.
Try it free in the beta.
Jug Scope isn't on the App Store yet — it's in active beta, and free for all features while it's there. Join the beta and start inspecting smarter.
