Active Beta

Beta Program

Help shape Jug Scope before it reaches the full fleet. Your real-world testing directly improves the app for every A&P and fleet manager who uses it.

Join via TestFlight

Jug Scope is distributed through Apple's TestFlight beta testing program. TestFlight is a free app from Apple that lets you install pre-release versions of iOS apps.

Open in TestFlight

How to get started

  1. 1 Install TestFlight from the App Store (free).
  2. 2 Open the TestFlight invitation link (provided by your fleet manager or Savvy Aviation contact).
  3. 3 Tap "Accept" and install Jug Scope.
  4. 4 Launch the app and sign in with Apple to create your account.

Focus Areas

Here's what to pay attention to as you use the beta. We're especially interested in real-world borescope connection behavior and capture workflow feedback.

01

Registration

Sign in with Apple. Select your role and enter fleet info. Your account should appear in Settings.

02

Borescope Connection

Connect via WiFi or USB-C. The app should detect the camera and show a live preview. Note any connection delays.

03

Capture Screen

Walk through cylinder views. Read the reference guide, capture shots. Try both portrait and landscape orientations.

04

Multi-Capture

Take multiple shots per view. All images should appear in the review screen. No limits on capture count.

05

Upload to Savvy

Upload your images to Savvy Aviation. Watch upload progress. Each image should show individual progress tracking.

06

Light/Dark Mode & Rotation

Switch between light and dark mode. Rotate the device. Layout should update instantly without freezing.

The beta supports these devices and borescopes.

  • Depstech WF028
  • Teslong TD500

  • Any USB-C camera (iPad only)
  • iPhone does not support USB-C cameras

  • Explore the full UI without a camera

What We Already Know About

These are known issues in the current beta build. You don't need to report these.

  • Submit for Analysis may not respond after upload — this is a Savvy API endpoint issue, not an app bug.
  • Upside-down portrait is not supported on iPhone — this is standard iOS behavior.
  • Registration failure — if registration fails on first launch, force-quit the app and try again.

How to Report Bugs

The debug log is the most helpful thing you can send. It captures the connection sequence, capture events, and any errors automatically.

Thank you for testing.
