Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Jug Scope application ("the App") and the website at airworthylabs.com/borescope ("the Website"), operated by Airworthy Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using the App or Website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Jug Scope is a mobile application for iPad and iPhone that guides users through a structured borescope inspection protocol for piston aircraft engines. The App captures, organizes, and exports borescope images.
Important: Jug Scope is a capture and organization tool. It does not provide engine analysis, maintenance recommendations, diagnostic assessments, or airworthiness determinations. The App does not replace the judgment of a qualified aircraft mechanic (A&P or IA). Always consult a qualified mechanic for engine maintenance decisions.
2. Subscriptions
Plans and Pricing
- Individual: $99.00 per year. Up to 2 aircraft profiles.
- Professional: $299.00 per year. Unlimited aircraft profiles.
Free Trial
Each aircraft profile includes a 30-day free trial. The trial begins when you add the aircraft to the App. No payment is required to start a trial. When the trial expires, an active subscription is required to create new inspections or export images for that aircraft. You can continue to view existing inspection data and reference images without a subscription.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions auto-renew annually through the Apple App Store. You will be charged through your Apple ID account. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
3. Account Registration
To use the App, you must create an account and provide accurate information including your name, email address, and aircraft tail number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose: capturing, organizing, and exporting borescope inspection images for aircraft engines. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with the App's operation or security
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
- Use the App in a manner that could harm aircraft safety
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its code, design, reference images, user interface, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Airworthy Labs LLC. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal devices.
Borescope images you capture are your property. The App does not claim ownership of any images you create.
6. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with Savvy Aviation for image upload functionality. Your use of Savvy Aviation's services is governed by their separate terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
THE APP IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE INSPECTION. BORESCOPE IMAGES AND THE APP'S ORGANIZATION OF THOSE IMAGES DO NOT CONSTITUTE A MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT OR AIRWORTHINESS DETERMINATION. ALWAYS RELY ON QUALIFIED MECHANICS FOR ENGINE MAINTENANCE DECISIONS.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AIRWORTHY LABS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR AIRCRAFT DAMAGE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Airworthy Labs LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by email.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account in the App's settings or by emailing [email protected].
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Harris County, Texas.
